What is coaching?

Coaching is a way of activating your innate intelligence and wisdom.

In a coaching session we talk about the good and the bad – the aspects of your life and work that lead to insights that transform you from the inside-out.

What happens in a coaching session? At its simplest, personal coaching is a conversation about you.

As your coach I help you find your own solutions by asking questions that give you insight into your situation. You are the expert in your own life, not me. I’m the expert in helping you draw this out.

As your coach I listen, prod, question, observe, encourage, and refine. Together we develop techniques and strategies for finding out what matters to you, for developing a new vision, for discovering what’s right for you, your business or your team.

What can you work on?

  • Become more resilient
  • Stop putting up with what is draining you
  • Manage your time more effectively
  • Find the natural leader within
  • Become more confident
  • Gain forward momentum in your personal and professional life
  • Change your job
  • Advance in your career
  • Set up a new business
  • Grow your business
  • Get better results with less effort

Coaching unlocks opportunity

At Coach You, I draw on personal development philosophies, studies of human excellence, and practical psychology. I also bring in other tools that improve the effectiveness of the coaching process. They include applied Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, the 3 Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought, and the Thinking Environment.

A professional coach is an attentive, unbiased, and non-judgemental listener – a human mirror that helps you see yourself more clearly than ever before. Coaches should be trustworthy, empathetic, honest, patient, independent, and accountable.

We know how to cut through to the core issues and help you generate practical action plans. The best coaches have been training and honing their skills for years.

Coaching in London, Oxford, and elsewhere

You can join Leadership coaching sessions in London, or in Oxford. Alternatively, I can travel to a location of your choice. You also get to choose the approach – virtual or face-to-face – that works best for you. Video-conferencing facilities and telephone coaching allow me to reach clients anywhere in the world.

The first stage of discovery is free. Just fill in the contact form, and we can have a phone conversation to explore what you would like to get out of the coaching. I’ll let you know if I can help, and if not, I’ll do what I can to direct you to the right professional.

All sessions are conducted in accordance with the International Coach Federation’s code of ethics.
